Who are we?

Florian and Timo are childhood friends from Freiburg who invented and developed the SyBuddy and SyBuddy Clamp. 

The accessories were born out Florian and Timo's skills and experience as well as their passion to make a positive difference in people's everyday lives. 

Florian has been working in the emergency services since 2016 and has been a qualified paramedic since 2019. Timo studied mechanical engineering and mechatronics and has long enjoyed 3D printing and designing with CAD software. 
 

How it all began:

Keeping track of an insurance card or other vital information as an emergency services worker can be difficult. Florian came up with the idea of the SyBuddy and accompanying SyBuddy Clamp to assist emergency service workers to do this with little additional stress in high pressure situations. 

Florian and Timo set out to build the accessories at the start of 2023 in an attempt to depart from the conventional, uninteresting and impractical design of everyday card holders. The SyBuddy and SyBuddy Clamp that are in use today are the result of over 20 iterations and prototypes. 

The production

The SyBuddy and SyBuddy Clamp are made in Freiburg, one of the sunniest cities in Germany. They are created utilising 3D printing on five custom-built machines.   

The SyBuddys are made from PET-G, which, apart from a glycol modification for better printability, hardly differs from the material from which normal PET bottles are made.
